On April 21, 2014 the Board of Trustees adopted an increase in water and sewer rates. This rate increase will begin with the water/sewer bills received by Zone 43 in June, 2014.
Water and sewer rates will increase by 3.25%. This rate increase is necessary to keep pace with water rate increases imposed by Irvington’s water supplier, New York City. The City is increasing the water rate on Irvington’s allotted consumption by 5.8% as well as a 7.8% increase for the excess monthly allotted consumption.
These increased water/sewer rates in Irvington will also help to maintain our water supply infrastructure and to keep our funds financially solvent.
The new water and sewer rates (if applicable) for customers inside the Village of Irvington will be as follows:
Water Rate Sewer Rate
Usage Range (per CCF) (per CCF)
Usage up to 100 CCF * $ 5.93 $0.45
Usage over 100 CCF $14.86 $1.14
* One CCF = 100 cubic feet or approximately 748 gallons
The water and sewer rates (if applicable) for customers outside the Village of Irvington will be as follows:
Water Rate Sewer Rate
Usage Range (per CCF) (per CCF)
Usage up to 100 CCF $ 9.83 $0.73
Usage over 100 CCF $24.61 $1.80
