On July 29th at 7:00pm, the principals from AstorBuck Properties, LLC will be presenting their plans concerning parking to the Board of Trustees. The meeting will be held in the Court Room of Village Hall, 85 Main Street.
The Village has been approached by AstorBuck Properties, LLC, owners of 50 South Buckhout Street (former Trent Building), regarding a proposed parking plan. The plan is an effort to address existing and future parking problems for the building and the neighborhood. The plan is to construct additional parking on six small lots that they own to the south of the building along South Buckhout Street. In addition, the Village owns a very small lot between their six lots and the building. Some of the alternatives to be presented include the use of the Village lot via easement or purchase. All of the alternatives would require a zoning change for the six small lots from residential to business to allow for the new parking area.
The potential involvement of the Village lot in the project and the need for a change in zoning necessitated that they approach the Village Board before submitting an application to the Planning Board.
