Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
Registration starts October 14th at 10am:
Note: New accounts must be confirmed by the Rec. Dept. prior to registering. Account confirmation takes place during regular office hours.
No refunds one week prior to the start of the program. Any refunds prior, will be reduced by $24.
Tuesday, November 30th
3:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
In this workshop, students will become one with Jewish heritage as they learn the history of and recreate several relics of Jewish traditions, such as placing mezuzah’s on homes, the history behind Hanukkah, and the functions of dreidels and menorahs. Students will use a combination of learned history and their imaginations to create their own twist on these items, and in the case of the Dreidel, even learn how to play the famous game!

Polar Express Workshop
All aboard the Polar Express! In this holiday workshop, students will design and construct moving trains using LEGO TECHNIC bricks and train tracks, while exploring the physics of motion, friction, and momentum as the trains brave the imaginary journey to the North Pole! All aboard for an awesome building adventure on the Polar Express at Snapology!

The Grinch Stole LEGO Workshop
Students are to enjoy the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, play Lego games, create Lego builds related to theme, and learn that Christmas is more than presents! It’s the we and not the me.
Fee: Resident- $40 / School District- $50 / Non-Resident- $60

Castles, Kingdoms, & Wizards
Time: 3:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Description: Who wouldn’t want to escape and play in the world of magic, fairy tales, and royalty? In Snapology’s Castles, Kingdoms, and Wizards program, students will have the opportunity to use LEGO® bricks to design their medieval fantasies while also bringing the real history to life! Yes, your student will do more than just build with LEGO® bricks, they will build their historical understanding of the unique elements that make the medieval time period such a fascinating point in human history.
Mining & Building
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Description: Hey gamers, are you ready to travel all the way to The End with Snapology? Join us as we bring the game of Minecraft® out of the computer and into the real-world using LEGO® bricks. In this program, you will go on adventures using your imagination and even design your own worlds, full of mobs, animals, buildings, and your very own LEGO® Minecraft® character.
Fee: Resident- $120 / School District- $140 / Non-Resident- $160
All classes take place inside the O’Hara Nature Center
