[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Vaccine Update 1/27/2021

As you likely know by now, New York State is currently vaccinating individuals who fit into priority groups 1a and 1b. The list is quite detailed and is subject to change, so it is always best to see the most updated list.

At this point, the priority list includes such categories as healthcare workers, first responders, and individuals age 65 and older. Besides looking at the priority list, the best way to determine if you’re eligible to receive a vaccine is by using the State’s Eligibility Tool.

Eligibility information can also be found by calling 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829)

However, determining your eligibility is only the first step. The next step is to make an appointment at a vaccination location. This is proving to be quite a challenge. There are very few locations in Westchester County, if any, that actually have appointments available. For example, the Westchester County Center is one of the main vaccine distribution points and the appointments are completely booked up through mid-April (with no dates posted after that).

Individuals who are interested in being vaccinated should utilize the State’s Eligibility Tool and continue to monitor vaccine distribution locations for appointment availability.

While this is not an exhaustive list, these are the State-run or retail locations that can be monitored for appointments:
