[ARCHIVED] Con Edison Providing Food and Medicine Reimbursements

Con Edison will reimburse customers for food and prescription medicine spoilage if they lost power for three consecutive days or more during the two nor’easters that slammed the region recently.

Customers may receive reimbursements for up to $225, or up to $515 with receipts.  Business owners are eligible for food spoilage reimbursements up to $10,200 with receipts.

While recognizing the efforts of thousands of employees and mutual aid workers to restore power safely to over 200,000 customers, Con Ed has acknowledged that it was unable to provide reliable restoration times for many customers.

Those seeking to file reimbursements can check Con Ed’s website here:   https://www.coned.com/en/services-and-outages/claim-form
