An important initiative of the 2015-16 school year for our Irvington UFSD is the strategic planning process. Together, we will be examining many facets of our district to develop consensus on strategic plan elements for the next several years. Community participation is critical to the process.
The Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee is an important element of this strategic planning process. Members of the committee will collaborate with the strategic planning facilitator to analyze the results of the district's public forums and surveys and review related school data. This will support the effort to develop the five-year plan and revise the district mission statement.
The committee will meet on four full days: November 24, December 8, January 13, and February 5. All committee members are required to be present for all meetings.
The Board of Education seeks volunteers to serve on the committee, which will be assembled to reflect the constituent groups of our community. We anticipate that more people will want to serve than we can accommodate, so we have organized this brief application to expedite the selection process.
