The Irvington Historical Society presents “No Flinching from Fire: Following the 65th New York Volunteers in the Civil War” lecture by Chris Barry, Irvington High School Social Studies teacher and Department Chairperson.
Barry’s lifelong interest in the subject was fueled by a childhood visit to Gettysburg where his great-great grandfather served with the 65th New York Volunteers. Every year his AP American History class ends with a trip to Gettysburg.
The lecture will be on Friday, April 17th at 7:30 p.m. at the Irvington Public Library, 12 South Astor Street, refreshments, free.
