SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM

The Senior Citizen Center is located at 29 Bridge Street at Scenic Hudson Park in Irvington. For information call Joan Armstrong at (914) 591-7786 or (914) 591-8329. Office hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Senior Citizen Program is available to residents 55 years of age and older living in the Village of Irvington and the Irvington School District. To be eligible for all senior citizen programs and activities, all senior citizens must complete a senior citizen information application.

The program offers in-club activities, trips, various artistic and cultural instruction and most of all, socialization. The Senior Director, Joan Armstrong, is available to assist with completing medical forms, as well as supplying information on housing alternatives, arrangements for homemaker services, and meals-on-wheels. In addition, the Senior Director can answer any questions regarding nursing home placements.

Senior Citizen Weekly Schedule:
Yoga - Monday and Wednesday, 9:15 a.m.
Zumba - Fridays, 9:00 a.m.
Exercise Class- Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. & Thursdays, 9:15 a.m.
Meetings - Tuesdays, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Shopping - Wednesdays, Stop & Shop, Tarrytown & Dobbs Ferry
Bridge - Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.
Knitting Club - Fridays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Midnight Run - Sandwich making for the homeless - Last Friday of the month, 10:00 a.m.
L.E.O. Club – “Let’s Eat Out” – T.B.A.
